Values are ideas or concepts that we believe in and use to guide our behaviors and boundaries. I think of values as seeds of intention that determine how we live our lives and what we choose to be accountable to.
Below are my “core values.” I use this term to indicate that while I may value many things, these are the four most important values that I hold. I also have a “practices” section. This is inspired by the Bay Area Transformative Justice Collective. While practices may be literal and action oriented, for this context I chose to identify four guiding practices that inform my behavior. I center these values and ideas in all my work.
Embodiment
Respect
Consent
Humility
Intentional Breath
Celebration of Boundaries
Gratitude
